Several people were injured after a car crashed into the building of the “Ninoy Aquino“ International Airport in Manila, ABS-CBN News reported.
Video posted by the television channel showed at least three visibly injured people in front of the entrance to Terminal 1 of the airport. There is no information yet on the severity of their condition.
Before hitting the building, the car swept the outer fence.
“The injured are being treated. The driver involved in the incident is in police custody,“ said Transportation Secretary Vivencio Dizon.
Police are investigating the cause of the incident. There are no reports of restrictions on airport operations.
