An earthquake with a magnitude of 4.6 on the Richter scale was registered last night in the Romanian Vrancea seismic region, in eastern Romania, reports the Agerpres agency, citing the General Inspectorate for Emergency Management (IGSU), BTA reports.
The earthquake occurred at 21:34 at a depth of 140 kilometers, with its epicenter located about 49 kilometers west of the administrative center of Vrancea county - the city of Focsani.
IGSU teams have begun inspections on the spot. According to preliminary data, no people were injured or material damage was caused.
