The meeting between Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan and Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky began in Ankara, Anadolu Agency reported, quoted by BTA.
The talks between the two leaders are being held behind closed doors. The meeting is also attended by Turkey's Minister of National Defense Yaşar Güler, the head of the Turkish National Intelligence Service (MIT) Ibrahim Kalin, and President Erdogan's foreign policy and security advisor Akif Çağatay Kılıç.
According to the Anadolu Agency, Erdogan will emphasize in his conversation with his Ukrainian counterpart the need for an immediate ceasefire and the start of peace talks, in order to end the war with Russia.
