President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky discussed yesterday with Bulgarian Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov security guarantees and cooperation in the energy sector, Ukrinform reported.
„We discussed current key priorities - achieving a full and unconditional ceasefire and security guarantees. The pressure on Russia must be increased to ensure peace,“ the president said on Telegram.
Their conversation was part of a series of bilateral meetings that Prime Minister Zhelyazkov held in Tirana, where the Sixth Summit of the European Political Community was held.
The two leaders also discussed issues of energy cooperation and the development of bilateral relations.
“It is extremely important for Ukraine to complete the construction of the Khmelnytskyi NPP, and I am grateful to Bulgaria for the assistance provided. No less important is our joint work within the framework of the demining coalition. This is a security issue for the entire Black Sea region,“ Zelensky stressed.
Zelensky also met with European Council President Antonio Costa and European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, BTA reports.
Zhelyazkov spoke in Tirana with EU High Representative for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy Kaia Kallas, Moldovan President Maia Sandu, Albanian President Edi Rama and Austrian Chancellor Christian Stocker.
