Russia and the US will agree on the conditions for ending the conflict in Ukraine, without taking into account Kiev's position, wrote on the Telegram channel the deputy of the Verkhovna Rada Alexander Dubinsky, who is in pre-trial detention on suspicion of treason.
"Ukraine and Russia will present their conditions for a ceasefire. Then they will note the impossibility of their implementation at the delegation level and move on to internal consultations. And against this background - a meeting between Putin and Trump, coordination of compromise conditions and their communication to Ukraine,", he believes.
The parties will be able to achieve significant progress in this direction by the end of May – early June, the politician believes.
According to him, Ukraine will find itself in a more vulnerable position in possible future negotiations with the Russian side.
"Ukraine will start the next round in a worse position, due to the creeping loss of territory and people and the worsening economic situation. At the same time, each round will be worse than the previous one in terms of the situation on the ground," he writes.
According to the Ukrainian MP, while Zelensky accuses Moscow of trying to hinder the negotiations, the Ukrainian side has tried in every way to do it itself, resorting to “direct insults“.
