Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov will be received in an audience by His Holiness Pope Leo XIV at the Apostolic Palace.
Later in the day, the Prime Minister will also meet with the Vatican Secretary of State Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Nova Television reports.
On the eve of the Day of the Holy Brothers Cyril and Methodius, the Bulgarian Alphabet, Education, Culture and Slavic Literature, Rosen Zhelyazkov will pay tribute to the holy places associated with the work of the first teachers. The Prime Minister is scheduled to visit the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore, where he will lay a wreath and bow before the memorial plaque of the holy brothers Cyril and Methodius.
