Russian forces are advancing in the Kramatorsk and Pokrovsk directions in Donetsk region. This was reported by the analytical project DeepState on May 22 (Thursday), BTA reports.
According to the information provided, Russian troops have achieved success near the villages of Yablunivka and Nadeivka in Donetsk region.
On May 20, DeepState reported that after recent successes south of Novopol and Novosilka, the Russian army is increasing pressure on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, using weaknesses on the front line.
The Ukrainian Air Force, citing a source in the command structure of the Armed Forces, reported that the situation in the Konstantinovka area has become significantly more tense in recent weeks. According to them, the main goal of the Russian forces in the short term is to carry out a semi-encirclement of the city and take under fire control the logistical channels of the Ukrainian defense.
DeepState also reported that in April 2025, Russian troops occupied a total of 175 sq. km of territory, with the most serious offensive being recorded in the areas of Sukha Balka and Kalinovo - approximately 50 sq. km, or almost a third of the total territory captured for the month.
