Ukraine has run out of missiles for the Franco-Italian SAMP-T batteries and ammunition for the French Crotale anti-aircraft missile system, the newspaper „Le Monde“ reported, citing its source.
According to the publication, Kiev has not received ammunition for Crotale for 1.5 years.
As the head of the communications department of the Ukrainian Air Force Command Yuriy Ignat said in an interview with the newspaper, Kiev is also facing a shortage of other types of missiles.
„We do not have enough missiles“, Le Monde quoted him as saying. - Several Patriot systems are deployed around Kiev. But they cannot provide 100% protection against ballistic missiles.
Earlier, Dutch Defense Minister Ruben Brekelmans said that the kingdom would send the last of the promised batch of F-16 fighters to Ukraine on May 26.
