The ninth launch of the Starship rocket of the American company SpaceX ended in failure, NASA reported.
After a successful launch, the ship entered a suborbital trajectory, but after half an hour it began to spin uncontrollably.
Before that, it lost its upper stage.
American entrepreneur and head of SpaceX Elon Musk explained on the social network X that leaks caused the loss of pressure in the ship's main tank during its inertial movement and return to the atmosphere.
The businessman called the shutdown of the ship's engine in accordance with the plan a big step forward. According to the entrepreneur, the next three Starship launches will be more frequent - every three to four weeks.
