The Secretary of the Security Council of Russia Sergei Shoigu stated that conflict situations continue to exist in international relations. He noted this during the XIII International Security Summit, "Interfax" reported, quoted by Focus.
“Against the backdrop of the transition to a multipolar world, unpredictability and significant conflict potential remain in international relations“, Shoigu said in his speech on Wednesday.
According to him, international security is influenced by both inherited and emerging crises, “from which no country can remain aloof in the conditions of modern information technologies“.
Shoigu recalled the words of Russian President Vladimir Putin that the main task of the world community is “building a security architecture based on equality and mutual respect“.
“We appreciate the fact that such positions of the Russian side find a response among the majority of countries around the world, whose representatives are here in Moscow today“, he emphasized.
The secretary also informed that the forum was attended by 124 delegations from 104 countries. Participants include secretaries of security councils, assistants and advisers to heads of state on national security issues, ministers, heads of special services, as well as 13 secretaries-general and representatives of international organizations.
