Protests under the motto "Stand Up, Serbia" were held throughout the country last night, BTA reported. Thousands of Serbian citizens in 34 cities took to the streets at 6:00 p.m.
The protesters carried banners: "Without revolution, there is no evolution", "Color revolution, colorful lie", "We are very angry". Students wave flags of their faculties.
Students in Belgrade stopped in Pioneer Park to greet their colleagues who are opposing the blockades of the faculties with the song "Whoever does not jump, he is a scoundrel". The column then continued along "Knjaz Miloš" Street.
Powerful chants of "We want elections" could be heard in all settlements.
Rallies were announced in Novi Sad, Niš, Kragujevac, Novi Pazar, Aleksinac, Bela Palanka, Bor, Čačak, Yagodina, Kikinda, Kosovska Mitrovica, Kraljevo, Kruševac, Leskovac, Loznica, Pancevo, Pirot, Priboj, Prokuple, Ruma, Senta, Sombor, Sremska Mitrovica, Subotica, Surdulica, Šabac, Užice, Valevo, Vlasotince, Vrsac and Zrenjanin.
One of the slogans of last night's protests was "Decentralization is charging". The goal is to show how all of Serbia is united against the Vucic regime and to make the voices of smaller towns heard.
