Deputy Chairman of the Russian Security Council and former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev jokingly suggested that Moscow assist in settling the disputes between US President Donald Trump and multi-billionaire Elon Musk in exchange for a "reasonable payment" in the form of shares in the company "Starlink", TASS reported, quoted by BTA.

“We are ready to assist in concluding a peace agreement between D (Donald Trump) and I (Elon Musk) in exchange for a reasonable payment and to accept shares in "Starlink" as a reward. Don't fight, guys!”, the Russian politician wrote on his English-language profile on the social network „Ex“.

Musk appreciated Medvedev's offer, responding in „Ex“ with a smiling emoticon, TASS reports.

The Russian agency reported earlier today that Russian Duma deputy Dmitry Novikov said that while he does not expect Musk to need political asylum, Russia "of course" could provide it to him if he needed it.

After months of cooperation and mutual praise, Musk and Trump traded a series of attacks yesterday. The dispute was sparked by Trump's tax law, which Musk opposes, DPA reports.

The businessman said that without his support, Trump would have lost the election, approved the idea of impeaching the Republican president, and also criticized the new tariffs introduced by the American leader and predicted that the US economy would fall into recession in the second half of this year.

In turn, Trump said that Musk had ceased to effectively fulfill his duties during his time as head of the Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE) and that he had gone crazy. The American leader also threatened to cancel all government contracts with Musk's companies and cancel all subsidies, TASS notes.
