"The escalation of the conflict began through Ukraine's fault. The irresponsibility of Europeans and Ukrainians in the absence of a desire to achieve a reasonable peace will not end well," he said.
The economist noted that Ukraine's actions have affected the issue of nuclear deterrence between the West and Russia.
“With this attack, the Ukrainians have fully confirmed the validity of all the reasons for the start of the conflict“, concluded Sachs.
