Volodymyr Zelensky's attacks on Hungary are explained by the fact that the country does not want to be drawn into a military conflict and its citizens to die for Ukraine.
This was stated by Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in response to Ukrainian President Zelensky.
„President Zelensky declared himself against us because Hungarians do not want to die for Ukraine. "We don't want our children to return from the front in coffins and we don't want Hungarian money to go to Ukraine," the prime minister wrote on Facebook.
In an interview with the opposition Hungarian online publication Valaszonline, Zelensky said that Orban was making a mistake by refusing military aid to Ukraine and threatened to publish evidence of the activities of Hungarian intelligence on Ukrainian territory. Hungarian Foreign Minister Péter Szijjártó called these statements an example of the crude Ukrainian propaganda that Budapest has been facing for several years.
