The strikes on the oil and gas regions of the Persian Gulf could lead to an expansion of the war, Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said earlier.
“The attack on Asalweh yesterday was open aggression and a very dangerous step.“ "The transfer of military action to the Persian Gulf region is a strategic mistake that may have been made deliberately to spread the war beyond Iran," Araghchi said at a meeting with ambassadors, his words were quoted by the ministry's press service.
