Russian occupiers are planning attacks on the Ukrainian energy system, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky said. According to the head of state, they may be "less visible to the world" because more attention is now being paid to the situation in the Middle East, writes News.bg.
"The relevant data is available from partners in the field of intelligence. Specifically, the data on the Russian threat to our nuclear energy production infrastructure in Ukraine was transmitted by the Ukrainian Minister of Energy to the IAEA and to Mr. Witkoff. The Ukrainian Defense Minister passed the information on to his U.S. counterpart.
Zelensky added this in a Telegram post after a meeting with the military, the SBU, and a number of officials.
The Ukrainian president noted that they had discussed the protection of infrastructure and that Russia continued to strike civilian targets, including the power grid, despite promises to the United States.
"This terror is becoming more and more disgusting and disgusting. There are no signs that anyone in Moscow is preparing to end the war and is serious about diplomacy," Zelensky stressed. That is why tasks were also set for the development of our air defense (AVO).
Zelensky also said that there were reports from the head of the SBU and the chief of the General Staff, the details of which he could not disclose. However, the results of the discussion "should have a tangible impact on the situation".
