Iranian Parliament Speaker: Israeli Strikes Are Heinous Aggression, Iran Will Retaliate - 1

Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Qalibaf has strongly condemned Israeli attacks on civilian targets and infrastructure, calling them a “heinous aggression“ and a “war crime“ committed with the support of the United States. He made the statement at a parliamentary session, quoted by the state news agency IRNA, BTA reports.

Qalibaf accused Israel of acting like a “Zionist regime of crimes and apartheid“ and stressed that the strikes were not only aimed at military targets, but also at residential areas, hospitals, women and children.

“These vile acts once again reveal the cruel face of a regime that has been accustomed to killing innocent people for 80 years,“ he said.

Citing information that some of the strikes were facilitated by agents inside Iran, the parliament speaker called on citizens to remain vigilant and immediately report any suspicious activity to security forces.

Qalibaf paid tribute to commanders, military personnel and nuclear scientists who died in the attacks, and stressed that Israel had tried to simultaneously destroy Iran's defense capacity and provoke internal chaos.

“The regime imagined that it could bring people to the streets of Tehran and finally achieve "The Iranian people and the armed forces, under the leadership of Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, have proven their ability to defend themselves and have shattered the myth of Israel's invulnerability," Qalibaf said.

He added that the Iranian response will not stop until the aggression is condemned and punished:
“The situation is extraordinary. The enemy is fierce and does not stop at any red lines,“ the chairman stressed.

In conclusion, Qalibaf called on the media and society to act responsibly, especially in times of crisis, so as not to provide the enemy with opportunities for propaganda manipulation or disinformation.
