At least 68 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip in the last 24 hours due to Israeli strikes, the Palestinian enclave's Health Ministry announced.
The number of injured is 182.
According to the ministry, since Israel resumed military operations on March 18, 5,139 people have been killed in the Gaza Strip, with the number of injured rising to 16,882.
„The number of victims of the Israeli aggression since October 7, 2023 The death toll has reached 55,432, and 128,923 people have been injured,“ the ministry reported.
On March 18, the Israeli army resumed military operations in the Gaza Strip, carrying out massive strikes on the enclave, thus violating the ceasefire established in January of this year.
Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu justified this by the refusal of the radical Palestinian movement Hamas to accept the proposals presented during the negotiations by mediators and the US President's special envoy Stephen Witkoff, stating that the goal of the operation in the strip was the release of all hostages.
The radicals accused Israel and the US of resuming hostilities.
