At least five people were injured, several buildings were set on fire and damage was caused to the exit of a metro station after a Russian drone attack on Kiev, Ukrinform and Reuters reported, quoted by BTA, citing Ukrainian authorities.

Metro stations are used as bomb shelters by Ukrainian citizens during Russian attacks, Reuters notes.

Falling debris from a downed Russian drone caused a fire in a non-residential building in the "Solomyansky" district, wrote on the "Telegram" application the mayor of the Ukrainian capital, Vitali Klitschko, and specified that one person was injured in the fire.

The head of the Kiev military administration, Timur Tkachenko, specified that debris from an Iranian drone "Shahed" had fallen.

"The roof of a non-residential building is burning in the "Solomyansky" district," the publication says.

During the airstrike on Kiev, damage was caused to one of the exits of the "Svyatoshino" metro station," Tkachenko added.

"During the attack, one of the exits of the "Svyatoshino" metro station and the adjacent area - a bus stop - were damaged. The Russian style remains unchanged - to strike where there may be people. Ordinary people hiding from shrapnel. Two people were injured here. They were treated on the spot, without being taken to hospital," he wrote.

The military administration of Kiev has urged residents of the city to stay in shelters due to the threat of a missile attack, Ukrinform notes.

Three people were killed in a Russian missile attack on a Ukrainian military training ground, the Ukrainian army said last night, quoted by DPA.

Another 11 people were injured in the attack. Thanks to timely warning through airspace surveillance, more lives were prevented, the Ukrainian military command wrote on "Facebook".

The exact location of the training ground was not specified.

A spokesman for the Russian Defense Ministry announced last night an attack on a Ukrainian military training ground in the Kherson region. The Russian army leadership said that in the attack with an "Iskander" ballistic missile 70 servicemen were killed.

The information provided by both sides cannot be independently confirmed, DPA notes.

A few weeks ago, 12 soldiers were killed and dozens were injured in an attack on another military training ground in the Dnipropetrovsk region, the agency recalls.

Meanwhile, five thousand households were left without electricity last night after a Russian drone attack on the Zaporizhzhia region, the head of the regional military administration, Ivan Fedorov, told Ukrinform.

He noted that the restoration of power supply will begin as soon as the situation allowed.

The attack caused a fire to break out in an apartment building, but it was quickly extinguished by firefighters.
