The Polish embassy building in Kiev was damaged in a massive Russian missile attack tonight. This was announced by Polish Foreign Minister Radoslaw Sikorski in a post on the X platform (former Twitter), quoted by the „Reuters“ agency, BTA reports.
„During the massive Russian attack on Kiev, the building of the consular section of our embassy was damaged“, wrote Sikorski. He specified that no diplomatic personnel were injured.
„I just spoke with Ambassador Lukaszewicz - everyone is safe and well“, the minister added. In his statement, he called the international community to step up its support for Ukraine, stressing the need for additional air defense systems.
The incident highlights the growing threat to diplomatic missions in the capital, which has been the target of intense airstrikes by Russia in recent weeks.
