The Ukrainian city of Odessa was subjected to a massive attack by drones and loud explosions echoed in the city, Mayor Gennady Trukhanov announced in the “Telegram“ application, quoted by BTA.
More than 15 drones attacked different areas of the Ukrainian Black Sea city, local channels in the “Telegram“ application also reported. According to their information, there are targets hit.
Local authorities are calling on residents to immediately take shelter in bomb shelters.
The alarm was announced at 23:18 local time (and Bulgarian – ed. note), and the explosions began to echo at 00:30.
The massive attack continues, 5 more drones are flying in the Black Sea and approaching the city, local channels in the “Telegram“ application reported.
The Bulgarians in the Odessa region number over 150,000 people and are the third largest according to the official census in Ukraine in 2001. Between 50,000 and 60,000 Bulgarians live in the city of Odessa itself. The largest compact Bulgarian population is concentrated in the Bolgrad, Izmail and Belgorod-Dniester regions.
