Trump-Netanyahu White House meeting to be held behind closed doors - 1

There are no planned public appearances by Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and former US President Donald Trump during their meeting at the White House, which will take place later today, Sky News reports, quoted by BTA.

According to the official schedule, Netanyahu's arrival in Washington is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. local time. The meeting between the two leaders will be held behind closed doors, without the presence of the media.

The planned dinner, which will take place shortly after the talks at the White House, will also be closed to reporters.

Traditionally, when Donald Trump receives a foreign leader, the event includes brief statements to the press in the Oval Office and a subsequent joint press conference. However, this time an exception seems to be made, Western media noted.

Before the dinner with Trump, Netanyahu will meet with US Secretary of State Marco Rubio and Special Envoy for the Middle East Steve Witkoff at Blair House - the official residence for high-ranking guests, located opposite the White House, The Times of Israel reported.

Netanyahu will also hold meetings on Tuesday - with Vice President J.D. Vance and members of Congress on Capitol Hill. He is also expected to speak with Defense Secretary Pete Hegsett on Wednesday, the publication added.
