The President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy submitted to the Verkhovna Rada two bills to extend martial law and general mobilization for another 90 days until November 5, 2025, Ukrinform reported, BTA reports.
The two documents are currently being considered by the parliamentary Committee on National Security, Defense and Intelligence. They are scheduled to enter into force on August 7.
The Ukrainian parliament last approved an extension of these emergency measures on April 16, 2025, when martial law was extended until August 7 by the votes of 357 deputies. The bill to extend general mobilization then received the support of 346 MPs.
If Zelensky's bills are approved again, Ukraine will remain under martial law and active mobilization for at least another three months in the context of the ongoing war with Russia.
