The head of Ukrainian military intelligence, Kirill Budanov, participated in a briefing organized for US special envoy Keith Kellogg, BTA reports.
During the meeting, the American side was familiarized with the current operational situation, an analysis of Russia's strategic plans until 2036, as well as evidence of the Kremlin's preparation for an armed conflict not only against Ukraine, but also against NATO countries.
„The Kremlin's imperial ambitions are not limited to Ukraine, they encompass all of Europe. "With the support of the United States, we are able to stop Russia and neutralize its military potential," Budanov said, quoted by the Ukrainian Defense Ministry, according to RBC-Ukraine.
The briefing was also attended by Budanov's deputy Vadim Skibitsky, Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Oleksandr Syrsky, Chief of the General Staff Andriy Khnatov, and Defense Minister Rustem Umerov.
Budanov expressed gratitude to the US government and people for their constant political, economic, and military support. "Russia recognizes only force, through which we will achieve lasting peace," he stressed.
Keith Kellogg arrived in Ukraine after announcing his visit last week. During his stay, data on Russia's military capabilities will be presented, as well as an assessment of Ukraine's defense capabilities. President Volodymyr Zelensky assigned the task to Commander-in-Chief Syrsky and Chief of the General Staff Khnatov.
Zelensky noted that the talks with Kellogg were productive and covered key issues related to security and achieving lasting peace.
