The Houthis have carried out strikes on four targets in Israel using a missile and three drones, the movement's military spokesman, Yahya Sariyah, announced.
„The missile forces carried out a unique military operation, during which they attacked a sensitive target of the Zionist enemy in the occupied Beer Sheva region using a hypersonic ballistic missile of the „Palestine-2“ type, Sariyah said on the rebel-controlled Al Masirah TV channel.
According to him, the rebels also attacked „important targets“ in the Israeli cities of Eilat, Ashkelon and Hadera using three drones. According to Sariya, all operations "achieved their objectives." On the evening of July 25, the Israel Defense Forces announced that the military had intercepted a missile fired from Yemen. Air raid sirens were activated in several areas of Israel. There were no reports of damage or casualties. Following the escalation of the conflict in the Gaza Strip in 2023, the Houthis warned that they would shell Israeli territory and prevent ships linked to Tel Aviv from passing through the waters of the Red Sea and the Bab el-Mandeb Strait. The attacks ceased after a ceasefire was declared in the Palestinian enclave in mid-January this year, but after it was suspended in early March, the rebels announced a resumption of attacks on Israeli ships in the Red Sea, and then began attempts to attack targets in the Jewish state, including Ben Gurion Airport.
