Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said that he does not intend to run in the next presidential elections. This was reported by the Serbian TV channel RTS, News.bg reports.
„As for the elections, fortunately for us, the responsibility for them is regulated by law. There will be elections, and we will see what the people will say. I am a political veteran and I do not intend to change the Constitution. I will not run again, but I will help someone“, said Vucic.
He added that if he supports a candidate who, in his opinion, can guide Serbia into the future, he will fight for his success in the elections. "How I will do it is not a topic for discussion now, and I myself cannot say," the head of state added.
Vučić recalled that his presidential term expires in a little over a year. He has been at the helm of the country since June 2017.
