Russian President Vladimir Putin shared with his Turkish counterpart Recep Tayyip Erdogan over the phone his assessment of his meeting with US President Donald Trump in Anchorage, TASS reports, Focus reports.
Erdogan earlier said that the talks between Putin and Trump in Alaska had given new impetus to the search for ways to resolve the conflict in Ukraine. The Turkish president stressed that he welcomed the meeting and expressed hope that this process, including with the participation of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky, would lay the foundations for lasting peace.
Erdogan added that Turkey is ready to fully support efforts to establish peace in Ukraine.
