The European Union must create a diplomatic strategy that will force Russia to peace despite Moscow's intentions. Ukrainian Foreign Minister Andriy Szybiga has called on Europe to resort to a new plan, Interfax-Ukraine reported.
“Either Putin stops now or he faces serious consequences. This is the strategy of peace by force“, the diplomat said.
Szybiga also called for increased military aid to Kiev and increased Western investment in military production in Ukraine.
Earlier, Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that no agreement on an air ceasefire had been reached between Russia and Ukraine. He also added that any such discussions should be conducted discreetly.
