The Sofia Municipal Council (SMC) will consider changes to its regulations, a report on the budget for European funds and the creation of a new center for children with disabilities. This includes the agenda of the upcoming council meeting, uploaded to the Sofia Municipality website. The program provides for the municipal councilors to consider a total of 69 points, as well as to ask four questions.

The councilors will discuss changes to the regulations for the organization and activities of the Sofia Municipal Council. The report, submitted by municipal councilors Hristo Koparanov, Deyan Nikolov, Ivan Sotirov and scheduled as the first item on the agenda, aims to optimize work procedures, a clearer distribution of competencies and more effective coordination between the standing committees and the administration.

The program also includes a report on the annual report on the cash execution of the budget under European funds as of December 31, 2024, submitted by the Mayor of Sofia Vasil Terziev. The report analyzes how the European funds have been utilized and focuses on the challenges in reporting project transfers.

The Sofia Municipal Council will also review a proposal for the creation of a new state-delegated day center for children and youth with disabilities "World for Me" in the capital's "Orlandovtsi" district. The report describes that the center will offer a complex of social services – day care, therapy, rehabilitation, job skills training and advocacy.

The agenda includes consideration of a proposal by the Chairman of the Municipal Council of Local Authorities Tsvetomir Petrov to adopt a code of ethics for municipal councilors and to establish a permanent ethics committee. According to Petrov, this will increase the transparency and accountability of local government.
