Dimitar Stoyanov: Radev will welcome the Hungarian president with his personal car

"He will not drive. He has a way not to drive a personal car, but he will be in his personal car. That's it. And I hope that our citizens will see him soon," Stoyanov noted

President Rumen Radev will welcome his Hungarian counterpart Tamas Sujok in Plovdiv with his personal car. This was stated by the Secretary of the Head of State for Security and Defense and former Minister of State Dimitar Stoyanov to BNT, after the change in the NSO Law was promulgated a day earlier, which prohibits the presidential administration and the president himself from using NSO cars.

"He will not drive. He has a way not to drive a personal car, but he will be in his personal car. That's it. And I hope that our citizens will see him soon," Stoyanov noted. Asked whether Radev will have to go to the airport in his personal car, as he himself announced, the president's secretary replied: "that's exactly it".

According to him, the presidential administration has also organized to welcome the Hungarian delegation with personal cars.

"Of course, we have organized with personal cars and the president, as a principled man, not a populist, but a principled man, I repeat, a principled man who cares about his people - I have known him for 20 years and he has not changed - he will also demonstrate his vision. That is, his empathy with the entire administration," Stoyanov commented.

"How will we welcome the President of Hungary at "Alexander Nevsky" on Monday? They will get into the cars, they will leave as an administration. What should we do? Run after these cars? This is a world standard. All countries in the world have such cars and they are there precisely for this purpose. By the way, they forgot to change the Law on State Protocol. According to the Law on State Protocol, our delegation from the Bulgarian side must necessarily be at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, in front of "Alexander Nevsky". We must be present there. The president must introduce our delegation, the Hungarian president, who comes with 20 advisers and secretaries, must similarly introduce their delegation. They are leaving, and we? Okay, no problems, we will solve the problem. We are not shouting about cars, be sure of that. But this is the place to say that it is time for those who are currently in the cars to get off. Do you know what the greatest impudence was? That on the day they took seven cars from the presidential administration, the National Assembly bought 70 brand new cars for over 4 million. For over 4 million! Is this the principled decision," Stoyanov asked rhetorically.
