MPs hear heads of SANS and NSO

The Committee on Internal Order and Security discusses changes to the law on the National Security Service

The heads of SANS and NSO will be heard in parliament today. This will take place in the parliamentary committee for control over the services.

Acting Chairman of the State Agency “National Security“ Denyo Denev will answer questions from MPs regarding the state of emergency fuel stocks, necessary to overcome a possible serious shortage.

Before the members of the committee, the head of the National Security Service, Emil Tonev, must present information regarding which MPs and on what grounds they use security.

The changes to the NSA Act concerning the presidential vehicle fleet are being voted on at first reading in the Committee on Internal Order and Security in the National Assembly.

Today's session will consider the changes proposed by the government.

They regulate the transfer of employees of the Service to the presidential administration, as well as the vehicles currently used by the presidency. It is planned that these cars will be serviced at the NSO base, if the two sides agree on this.

The deputies of the Commission will also consider the amendments to the NSO law proposed by "DPS - New Beginning". The texts provide for a ban on the provision of personal cars by individuals to the Security Service, as well as a ban on equipping personal cars as cars with a special traffic regime.

This has come to this after the decision of the National Assembly that the president will not have the right to use cars of the Security Service. In response, Rumen Radev began to appear at official events in his personal car.
