The deputies gathered for a regular Friday session. According to today's agenda, a blitz control and regular parliamentary control were to be held.

At the beginning of the session, Parliament Speaker Raya Nazaryan made an announcement from the parliamentary rostrum that Prime Minister Rosen Zhelyazkov and Deputy Prime Ministers Atanas Zafirov and Grozdan Karadjov would not attend the blitz control due to urgent official commitments.

Nazaryan also specified that the Prime Minister and Deputy Prime Ministers would answer topical oral questions at the plenary session on November 14, Friday, as item one on the parliament's agenda.

"A few hours ago, the US Treasury called the company that wants to buy "Lukoil" a Russian puppet. This means that after two weeks, the Burgas refinery will no longer be able to carry out any financial transactions. We requested a hearing with the Minister of Energy, but this was not allowed. The situation is becoming extremely dangerous for the country," said Ivaylo Mirchev from "Continuing Change - Democratic Bulgaria".

He explained that the parliamentary group had submitted an extraordinary request for a closed hearing of the Prime Minister, the Minister of Economy and the Minister of Energy. Mirchev called on the Speaker of Parliament to convene a presidential council to consider his request. The MPs went into a 30-minute recess at the request of the MP from the DPS - Novo nachod Stanislav Anastasov.

After the recess, the MPs rejected the PP-DB proposal, which provided for the second item for today to be a hearing of Prime Minister Zhelyazkov and the Ministers of Energy and Economy - Zhecho Stankov and Petar Dilov, on the "Lukoil" case.

The MPs are currently discussing in first reading a draft law to amend and supplement the Law on the Administrative Regulation of Economic Activities Related to Oil and Oil Products. The submitters of the bill are Stanislav Anastasov, Pavela Mitova, Delyan Dobrev and Ivan Ibrishimov. The deputies extended their working hours until the first item on the agenda was exhausted and voted on, and then parliamentary control is provided for in the new order.

Despite the already rejected proposal from DSB, they again insisted on hearing the Prime Minister, as well as the Minister of Energy and the Minister of Economy. According to Yordan Ivanov, they should participate in the debate on the bill. The PP-DB parliamentary group requested a break.
