I am concerned about the Bulgarian Constitution and the rule of law, the very appointment of the special commercial manager of "Lukoil" is illegal. This was stated by President Rumen Radev to journalists, who opened a tennis tournament in memory of Major General Neiko Nenov, BTA reported.

According to the head of state, according to the law of the ruling party, the special commercial manager must develop a detailed six-month plan of activity, which he must present to the Security Council of the Council of Ministers, where it will be approved. "When did he develop such a plan, when did the members of the council get acquainted, when did they approve it, when he was not even present at the council," Radev asked. According to him, an activity that is inherently in violation of the law has a huge risk of leading to legal violations. There is a bigger crisis than the potential fuel crisis - this is the crisis of Bulgarian politics, it is much more terrible, Radev said.

The Constitution no longer matters, the laws do not matter, the arguments do not matter. Those in power have trampled on all legal, political and moral norms, the head of state said.

Yesterday, the government appointed Rumen Spetsov as a special commercial manager of the four companies of “Lukoil“ in Bulgaria. Before that, a meeting of the Security Council to the Council of Ministers was held regarding the election of a special manager of “Lukoil Neftochim Burgas”, at which reports of the competent ministers were heard and the proposal to the Council of Ministers for the appointment of a special manager of the companies was announced.

Rumen Spetsov is the executive director of the National Revenue Agency.
