On the air of “Wake up“ former BSP member Anton Kutev commented on the US sanctions against the Russian “Lukoil“, the derogation for fuels in our country and the political situation in the country. According to him, Bulgaria has a real chance to keep fuel prices stable, despite international pressure.
“We have every chance that prices will not rise. If there is good governance, they will not rise”, said Kutev. According to him, the US and the UK were hardly aware that Rumen Spetsov was being prepared as a special manager of "Lukoil Bulgaria" – they simply approved the very idea of appointing one.
Kutev criticized the parliament for having the budget debate on the back burner at the expense of limiting the president's powers.
“We both expect the president to save us from the mafia, and at the same time we are cutting his powers“, he commented, adding that there are “criminal elites“ in Bulgaria, and a large part of the people who determine policy have “criminal addictions“.
According to Kutev, President Rumen Radev remains one of the most approved figures in the country. “He is at the end of his second term and has about 50% support. But we do not expect him to simply be a successful president, but to save us from the mafia. And this is impossible when his powers are curtailed,“ he pointed out.
Kutev was harsh on the work of the Prosecutor General: “If the Prosecutor General does his job, the criminal elites will disappear in a week and Bulgaria will be different.“
He emphasized that the current Prosecutor General is “illegitimate“, and two of the supreme courts in Bulgaria have confirmed this.
According to Kutev, the GERB party no longer wants to be part of the government, but will not overthrow it because “they know that if they do, the president will come to power“.
He is categorical that Radev does not need a pre-prepared party to win elections: “If there are elections - he will win them.“
