There are also many people who are looking for a new political project and are looking for new people to vote for as an alternative, explained Simeonov.
I think that geopolitically, in the conditions of this war near us, it is impossible without the spokespersons of the West in the person of PP-DB. It is good to have them as partners, the other option is for them to be your opponents or to be under your windows as protesters. PP-DB are spokespersons for Western rhetoric and without it they cannot go through a future assembly, the analyst believes. He predicts that Rumen Radev may be a new player, but he has to play it well. He can jump into politics, but only if he is sure of success. He will not take drastic moves in this situation, added Simeonov.
The main mobilizing factor of PP-DB in previous elections was their harsh rhetoric against GERB. It will be difficult for them now in new elections to take this position and have this tool for mobilization. They will be reminded how they are now asking GERB for a government and are ready for any compromises. He is adamant that today we are talking about the upcoming elections, but there are two big unknowns. First - whether there will be a new political entity to be structured. In this space there is an open alcove – these are supporters of Rumen Radev and those associated with the so-called counterculture in the province. The second unknown is whether the elections will be two in one or on separate dates. If we have two elections, the turnout will be much lower, people will be tired and disgusted, predicts Ganev.
