" Sarafov's deputy is naturally a concern for us. It is not the job of the Ministry of Justice to do judicial reform. This Parliament has the opportunity to pass the Judiciary Act. Bulgarian citizens, not the acting Minister of Justice, are the ones who must say on June 9 whether they want the judicial reform to be accelerated. Do they want an independent body to investigate corruption or not. We have not seen a real working anti-corruption system like Romania had."

This opinion was expressed on the air of BNT by MEP Radan Kanev in connection with the project cabinet announced by Dimitar Glavchev, quoted by frognews.bg.

"Since the main function of the official cabinet is to hold fair elections, it is logical to look to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, because it has a fundamental role in conducting them. Bulgarian history has clearly shown that when Bulgarians have clear goals, no MIA, no money, can have a negative impact. My hope is that the Bulgarian citizens will clearly say that they want to continue the course of reforms and changes. The MIA is important with very low voter turnout," the politician believes.

"There is a group in society that sees the status quo as stability. It quite legitimately supports GERB and DPS, as an expression of their interest. There is clearly a large group of Bulgarian citizens who want quick reforms. There is also a third opposition group, which sincerely wishes Bulgaria to part with its European membership, with the development of the market economy, and which is looking for its temporary refuge. These people want to return to the arms of the Kremlin", warns the MEP.

Kanev pointed out that Dimitar Glavchev is nominated by GERB, which should not surprise us. According to him, we are Bulgarian citizens and we are not obliged to like the composition of the draft cabinet.

"My reservations are as follows: In the Ministry of Economy - Mr. Petko Nikolov. He is a man with a very long history. His next appointment to a key post in the state was met with disappointment. I react with concern and questioning what task the new Minister of Economy has to fulfill in the coming months. The other thing is that we see some worrying processes in the Ministry of Energy. Mr. Malinov is a controversial person. The caretaker government of Mr. Donev has prepared a plan in which 300 out of 400 million are directed to new gas projects. The EC reflected on us, and at this stage, Bulgaria has lost 300 million, because of the attempts to be tied to eastern suppliers", he also said.
