The official cabinet is dominated by the appointments of Boyko Borisov and Delyan Peevski. The proposal for Daniel Mitov to become foreign minister is Borissov's. This was stated on bTV by political scientist Svetoslav Malinov, quoted by news.bg.
He noted that it is not unconstitutional for the GERB leader to want changes in the composition of the Council of Ministers. According to him, however, it is another question whether this is right. Malinov is adamant that Dimitar Glavchev is not an independent prime minister. The political scientist emphasized that there is a possibility that the caretaker cabinet will remain in power longer, in view of the lack of a clear majority after the elections. According to him, GERB either firmly intends to keep the MFA after the elections or hopes that the cabinet will last longer.
The political scientist criticizes the changes in the Constitution. For him, limiting the persons who can hold the post of caretaker prime minister is a mistake. According to him, the list should be expanded.
The former director of "Information Service" Prof. Mihail Konstantinov also questioned the constitutional changes. He emphasized that some of them have been appealed to the Supreme Court. According to him, there are many negative opinions against them.
Konstantinov is convinced that some of the changes will fall in the CC because they are non-working. He is adamant that the legislation does not work. According to him, there will be more shoots.
Konstantinov noted that with the new changes it is not known who is responsible for the official government. Responsibility cannot be blurred, it is borne personally, he explained.
