The President and Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces, Rumen Radev, will take part in the ceremonial bathing of the battle flags and the sacred flags of the Bulgarian Army at St. Alexander Nevsky Square. in Sofia on the Day of Courage and a holiday of the Bulgarian Army, May 6 at 10:00 a.m. This was announced by the press office of the head of state, quoted by BTA.
Radev will accept the order of honor of the representative units of the Bulgarian Army and lay a wreath in front of the monument to the Unknown Warrior, after which the solemn march of the representative blocks of the Armed Forces will take place.
In front of the Presidential Administration building, at 12:00, there will be a ceremonial changing of the guard of honor, which will also be attended by student guard units.
Later, the head of state will welcome “Dondukov“ 2 young men from the student guard unit and the brass band at the “Dr. Nikola Vasiliadi“ Professional Technical High School. - Gabrovo, as well as the student guard detachments at the Professional High School for Agricultural Mechanization “Peyo K. Yavorov“ – Gotse Delchev, Secondary School “St. St. Cyril and Methodius“ – Rudozem and Municipal Youth Center – Ruse. In the Hall of Arms, the oaths of office will be handed out by the captains of the squads, as well as plaques by school principals. The student guard units will then explore the presidential library.
A few days ago, the Ministry of Defense announced that the acting Minister of Defense Atanas Zapryanov, the Chief of Defense Admiral Emil Eftimov, and senior officers of the Bulgarian Army will participate in the solemn ritual for the water sanctuary.
