The Metropolitan Municipality urgently commissioned an on-site inspection by engineers – constructors. A structural survey of the bridge will also be performed by a licensed structural engineer to show the condition of the roadway. The movement in the direction of the “Boyana” will be limited to the complete inspection of the facility and clarification of its condition.
In 2018, the facility was repaired, including replacement of the road asphalt concrete pavement, rehabilitation of the sidewalk consoles, new railings and restraint systems, as well as street lighting elements, the municipality added. No repairs have been carried out on the supporting structure. After that, periodic checks were made on the site itself, during which no problems were found.
Buses from line 63 will move through the clover and on a route towards Boyana, the Metropolitan Municipality also announced.
