According to President Rumen Radev, it is inappropriate for the Bulgarian government to show hesitation on the UN resolution on Srebrenica, broadcast BNT.

So far, there have been two red lines that have stopped the uncontrolled escalation of the war in Ukraine. The first is the limitation of the geographical scope to only Ukrainian land. The second, preventing a direct clash between NATO and Russian servicemen.

"With the decision to allow a Western weapons strike deep into Russia and with the formalization of sending advisers and trainers to the front line itself, these red lines have already been crossed and unfortunately, our politicians are becoming part of a such inadequate decisions with all the resulting consequences", explained Radev.

The president repeated again that he never stated that Bulgaria had decided to send Bulgarian military to Ukraine.

Rumen Radev said that if he participates in the upcoming NATO summit in Washington, he will defend the position he has already announced. He reminded that the decision of who should represent the country should be taken by the government, but expressed doubts about its legitimacy.

The example Glavchev announced that there is no solution yet.

"There is no such solution. The NATO summit in Washington is in mid-July, there is plenty of time until then. I hope that a regular government will determine who will participate", noted Dimitar Glavchev.

Regarding the UN declaration on Srebrenica, the president said that his position was not sought. For the prime minister, this matter is closed.

"It is inappropriate for the Bulgarian government to show hesitation and inconsistency, in the case that we are co-authors of a position for a UN resolution. In this regard, all facts and circumstances must be established. Indeed, Bulgaria must be clear and consistent and affirm democratic values and principles in our region," said Rumen Radev.

"We have finished this matter, we have the official position of Bulgaria, the vote was "for". All working papers, not only this one, are an element of the technology of making a final decision, which is a vote "for" the resolution from the permanent representative of Bulgaria to the UN in New York", commented Glavchev.

Regarding the upcoming elections, the president noted that we are living in challenging times and how Bulgaria will continue depends on everyone's activity.
