Railway accident in our country. A fast train ran over a worker on a railway section between Telish and Gorni Dabnik stations, Plevensko, bTV reported. A colleague of the deceased was injured.
Investigators are traveling to the scene.
The train left Varna at 16:35. BDZ informs at 22:14 on June 6 that the train is stopped at Gorni Dabnik station due to an accident.
In November last year, two employees of the National Company “Railway Infrastructure” died in Sofia near the "Iliyantsi" station after being run over by a locomotive.
The lack of visibility, the profile of the road and the presence of bushes – all this is at the heart of the incident.
„The train leaves from “Iliantsi” to the respective post to leave the wagons. Returning to the station again, he hits colleagues. It is a very sharp turn that is overgrown with bushes. It was difficult for the driver to see them, because he is sitting on the right side of the locomotive, and the curve is on the left”, explained Petar Bunev, co-chairman of the Union of Railway Workers at KNSB.
In another incident at Central Station at the end of May this year, 12 people were injured after a passenger train and a locomotive collided. Four were taken to medical facilities – two in “Pirogov“, one in ISUL and one in VMA.
The train was 10 minutes late leaving the station, we will find out why this happened.
