KEVR says finally whether natural gas will become cheaper by 1.28% for July

The decision will be taken in a closed meeting

The Commission for Energy and Water Regulation (KEVR) will issue a decision on the application from "Bulgargaz" ; to approve the July price of natural gas at a closed meeting today, the regulator's agenda provides, BTA reported.

During the open meeting at KEVR on the subject, the executive director of the company, Veselin Sinabov, said that as of June 26, the originally announced price for July by "Bulgargaz", which is 1.28 percent lower than the one in effect in June. He indicated that in its application to KEVR, the company proposed for approval a natural gas price for July of BGN 58.79 per megawatt hour (MWh).

KEVR confirmed the price of natural gas for June at BGN 59.55 per MWh.

From today, the prices in the "Electricity" sector also come into force. and "Heat Energy" for the next one-year pricing period from 1 July 2024 to 30 June 2025, after the regulator approved them yesterday.

After taking into account all pricing elements and applying the pricing methodology, KEVR approved an average increase in the price of electricity for household consumers by 1.77 percent.

For customers of "Electrohold" the price increases by 3.10 percent, at EVN - by 1.85 percent, and for customers of "Energo Pro" it decreased by 0.49 percent. These prices include the prices for network services.

In the next year, the prices of heating services for household customers for the whole country will be lower by an average of 8.47 percent.

With 7.02 percent less, the users of "Toplofikatsia Sofia" will pay. The price for customers of "EVN Bulgaria Toplofikatsia" is lower by 7.81 percent. In Pleven, the price reduction is 7.14 percent, and the biggest is for "Heating-Burgas" AD - 14.11 percent. In Varna, the price drop was 3.74 percent, in Vratsa - 11.35 percent, in Veliko Tarnovo - 2.44 percent. In Razgrad, the decrease is 9.94 percent, in Ruse -11.98 percent, in Pernik - 7.20 percent, in Sliven - 10.41 percent.
