"Vazrazhdane" demands the resignation of the prime minister and the interior minister because of the fires

The government must take responsibility and have Dimitar Glavchev and Kalin Stoyanov resign immediately, today.

This was stated by the leader of “Revival“ Kostadin Kostadinov in response to a question regarding the situation with the fires in the country.

"It is obvious that we do not have the opportunity as a country to deal with forest fires,", he commented.

"While the state gives hundreds of millions of BGN to foreign countries, in this case aid to Ukraine and for the support of nearly 100 thousand Ukrainian tourists in Bulgaria, our country is burning, villages have burned," Kostadinov said.

“Do you remember those armored personnel carriers that we gave to Ukraine, then they explained to us in the parliament that we did not need them. If these APCs were available now, we wouldn't have to wonder who would be making breakthroughs. Now it turns out that we have to ask for help from abroad, commented the leader of "Revival".

"It turned out that we only have three helicopters that can put out fires, which is actually not the case - there are six helicopters. There are three more that are at Chaika naval base, but the problem is that we don't have trained crews for them. Not to mention that of these three, only one is equipped, because the other two no longer have the equipment either, because their expiration date has expired", commented Kostadin Kostadinov.
