Building buffer parking lots will solve the problems with queues of trucks at the borders, the official said from the parliamentary rostrum Minister of Transport and Communications Georgi Gvozdeikov.
According to him, if there are such facilities, the traffic will be regulated and there will be no crowding.
"Even entering Schengen by land will not solve this problem. The capacity of the Danube Bridge border crossing near Vidin is between 40 and 50 trucks per hour," Gvozdeikov also said.
According to him, it is possible to think about a legislative initiative, and the state must seriously undertake the construction of such parking lots in the country.
Gvozdeikov answered a question from MP Dimo Drenchev, who stated that boys "in black clothes" forced trucks to park in a private parking lot next to the Danube bridge near Vidin, with Bulgarians paying 15 BGN and foreigners paying 15 euros.
In response to another question related to the train journey between Plovdiv and Asenovgrad, as well as in the direction of Haskovo and Svilengrad, Gvozdeikov said that due to repairs at the Plovdiv station, part of the railway lines had to be interrupted. A temporary platform was created for some of the travelers, for which the minister stated that he had ordered the construction of better conditions for those waiting.
