In BSP there are no processes of disintegration, but of consolidation and strengthening. This was stated in the program "Speak Now" according to BNT, the acting chairman of the BSP – Atanas Zafirov.
"I want to assure you that the path followed by the BSP and its coalition partners in recent months gives us confidence that our results in the next elections will be much better,", he believes.
"The process of losing voters is not only on the left, it is going on in the entire political space and is the result of systemic mistakes made by all political parties. They led to a very high percentage of delegitimization of all bodies and to the general wear and tear of politics," Zafirov stressed.
"Being clearly aware of this process and making our analyses, accounting for our mistakes - there are currently two courses of action before us. One is intra-party - it is related to the efforts we are making for consolidation, reaching out inside the party, working together with all the currents of ideas that in recent years for one reason or another had remained in the background, returning the collective spirit to our bodies and giving more powers to local bodies in terms of making policy, fielding candidates etc. And the other way we're going is the process of consolidation on the left, which I'd like to believe is irreversible. The meetings we hold in both directions and the overall situation in Europe and the world give me a reason for this - the left is modern again when there is a challenge, I'm talking about France, it can quickly mobilize and achieve results," said Zafirov.
