Two people were seriously injured in the explosions in a fireworks warehouse in Elin Pelin. They are a man in his 40s and a woman in her 30s, both with third-degree burns. They are placed for treatment in “Pirogov”.
They are in very serious condition. The victims remain for intensive treatment in intensive care, where teams are fighting for their lives.
„Third degree burns mean damage to the tissues and skin in a state in which it falls”, explained the director of the emergency hospital, Dr. Valentin Dimitrov.
One of the victims has 85% burns. The other is in better condition - with 35% burns.
Dimitrov pointed out that there is good coordination between the ministry, “Pirogov” and Emergency.
„Colleagues at work in the shock room are ready to receive patients. The teams are ready to help all patients,”, the director of the hospital stressed.
He refused to give forecasts for the recovery of the injured.
