A request to veto amendments to the Preschool and School Education Act is brought today in the presidency non-governmental organizations and civil activists, reported NOVA.
The reason for this is the adopted changes that banned topics related to the LGBT community from being discussed at school.
According to critics of the law, it threatens freedom of expression and constitutes a form of censorship, creating the danger of discrimination and marginalization of people of different sexual orientations. Lawyers emphasized that the law in its current form violates the Constitution.
