On Thursday in the early afternoon, a fire broke out in the three-story building of the nursing home in A bank. One person died. Two women were gassed and examined on the spot. Another patient with burns was transported to the hospital, NOVA reported.
Fire and police teams immediately arrived at the scene. The mayor of Bankya, Rangel Markov, explained that there is a nursing home on the floor where the fire broke out. One room and the corridor were burnt, the fire was brought under control almost immediately.
The object was operated without a license. This was established during an inspection of the Agency for the Quality of Social Services, which was carried out at the end of June 2024 at the request of another administration, the Ministry of Labor announced.
