Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works categorically states that it opposes attempts by political leaders and parties to use the institution and its agencies for manipulation for political dividends.
„Our position is categorical and unwavering – we work for the citizens of the Republic of Bulgaria, not for the political interests of the parties and their leaders. We will not allow anyone, including Mr. Kiril Petkov, to interfere in the work of the ministry and prevent the implementation of infrastructure projects that are essential for the development of the country. We do not accept the interference and lies of political figures and will fight with all means against these attempts. Let it be clear - MRRD is not a playground for political manipulations and we will not allow anyone to use the institution in this way”, says a position of MRRD quoted by NOVA.
„We also make the following clarification on the occasion of a meeting of Mr. Kiril Petkov on August 16 at the “Road Infrastructure“ Agency: He has never participated in the work of the ministry or its related agencies. Mr. Petkov is not a participant in the development of the infrastructure projects or other activities of MRRD, incl. and the construction or repair of roads. Also, the “expert“ his opinion on the subject of the reverse traffic on the Sofia-Pernik road, as well as on other subjects”, writes at the end of the position of the Ministry of Public Works and Transport.
