By order of the commander of the Ground Forces, 290 (two hundred and ninety) military positions have been announced for accepting military service for persons who have graduated from civilian secondary or higher schools, in military formations of the Ground Forces.
With the adopted changes to the Law on Defense and the Armed Forces of the Republic of Bulgaria (Article 212, Paragraph 3), the monthly remuneration of servicemen and employees in the Bulgarian Army and in the structures directly subordinated to the Minister of Defense will be determined annually based on data from the National Statistical Institute on the average salary for the country for the second quarter of the previous year, which for 2024 is BGN 2,296.
In addition to the basic monthly remuneration, servicemen receive additional remuneration for long service, for specific conditions when performing military service and others.
Candidates must be no older than 40 years old, have no convictions, and have no other citizenship.
By September 20, 2024, applicants for the specified vacant positions must submit a written application through the structures of the Central Military District (CMO).
The places where new personnel are sought are: Stara Zagora, Yambol, Haskovo, the village of Koren, Karlovo, Kazanlak, Blagoevgrad, Vratsa, Sliven, Plovdiv, Asenovgrad, Belene, Smolyan, the village of Svoboda, Sofia, with Musachevo and Ruse.
BGN 2,296 is the basis for determining military salaries from January 1, 2025.
